I had the oppurtunity to be the official photographer at Klub Krom in Uppsala Sweden last weekend.

The band Helltrain was playing, and it was magical..

Here´s a little about the band, and a couple of links to their free downloadable albums..

Helltrain plays an own style of stonehard rock ´n´ roll with a glimpse in their eyes and a large sense of humour.. The members have been playing with The Duskfall , Everdawn, Gates of ishtar, Raised Fist, The 21st Impact and Scheitan among others.

Brann upp i natt

I natt attackerades Gävlebocken – igen.

Och allt tyder på att attentatet var planerat.

– Det var bara skelettet kvar. Den är död, säger ögonvittnet Linus Järderberg, 24.

Gävle vaknar, precis som så många år förut, upp med en krossad julefrid.

Strax efter klockan tre på onsdagsmorgonen fick polisen larm om att Gävlebocken brann.

Men när polispatrullerna kom till platsen var det redan för sent.

Inga misstänkta

Bocken var helt övertänd – endast stommen fanns kvar.

Räddningspersonalens kunde bara se på när stadens främsta julsymbol tynade bort framför deras ögon.

– Vi har inte gripit några gärningsmän för dådet. Och i nuläget har vi inga misstänkta, säger vakthavande befäl vid polisen i Gävleborg.

Polisen rubricerar händelsen som grov skadegörelse.

Enligt uppgifter till Aftonbladet var bockattacken planerad av flera personer.

Vid antändningstillfället – någon gång runt klockan tre på morgonen – låg övervakningskamerorna nere.

”Känns fruktansvärt”

När bilden återkom stod bocken redan i lågor. Meterhöga eldsflammor slog upp mot den svarta decembernatten.

Pelle Friberg, 30, var den första personen på plats. Bara minuter efter att någon tänt på anlände han till platsen med sin bil, på väg för att köpa snus.

– Men det var helt folktomt och bocken stod i lågor. Sedan kom både polis och brandkår och jag fick lämna mina uppgifter. Det känns fruktansvärt sorgligt att den brann ner innan jul.

När Linus Järderberg var på väg hem från jobbet, vid fyra på morgonen, var bocken redan utbränd.

Helt svart

– Det fanns absolut ingenting kvar. Ingenting. Bocken var helt svart. Jag kände tydligt hur det luktade bränt.

Men för Linus Järderberg kommer dådet inte som någon överraskning.

– Jag får erkänna att det var väntat. Men givetvis känner man en viss sorg.

Linus Järderberg tror dock inte att man kommer att bygga upp bocken på nytt i år.

Det skulle kräva alldeles för mycket resurser.

– Just nu känns det bara tomt. Men det är bara att ta nya tag. Men blir man ju såklart jävligt förbannad. Och att attacken sker på en vardag tyder ju på att det inte är en fyllegrej.

Gävle goat succumbs to flames

Yuletide arsonists have once again successfully set the Gävle goatablaze. Police received a call around 3 am Wednesday that the Christmas goat in the eastern Swedish town was on fire.

While last year’s goat managed to survive until December 27th, this year the 13-metre-tall straw billy succumbed to flames just three days before Christmas.

This was the 43rd traditional straw goat that Gävle has erected in the main city square a few weeks prior to Christmas. It has become a local sport to attempt to burn the goat to the ground.

“It was more or less just a skeleton by the time we got there,” Göran Lyrberg, commander on duty at the Gävle police, told TT news agency.

No one has been arrested for the incident, which is classified as serious vandalism. Most Gävle goats have been burned down or vandalised in some other way.

In the last couple of years, the goat has not been treated with flame retardant because it previously discoloured the straw creature and detracted from its grand stature.

Thick rosemary and garlic-roasted spareribs..

This is what I have been up to today.. Yes, you guessed right. Some Christmas preparations..

These ribs take care of them selves in the owen, so that you can do other things at the same time. Do split a whole garlic and let it roast with the meat, it will look great on top of the meat when you serve it..

For 8 – 10 persons (buffet)  you´ll need..

About 1 ½ kilos of ribs ( cracked )

10 garlic cloves

1 teaspoon of rosemary

½ decilitre of concentrated applejuice

2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar

oliveoil

salt and blackpepper

How to:

1. Turn your owen on, and set the temperature to 175 degrees C.
2. Cut the ribs in smaller pieces and put them in a owensafe tin.
3. Peel the garlic and mix them with the rosemary, applejuice, vinegar, 2 tablespoons of oliveoil, 1 teaspoon of salt and about 1/4 teaspoon of blackpepper. Pour the mixture over the meat.
4. Put the whole thing in the owen for about 1 – 1 ½ hour. Pour the juices that comes from the meat over the nicley smelling meat with a large spoon, from time to time. The meat is done when it easily comes of from the bones. Let it rest under some aluminium foil for about 15 minutes before serving.

Done!!

I am thinking of making an Applechutney with chili to go with it..

God damn it!! What a tough weekend!!

Me and the joy of my life ( my lovley wife, that is.. ), took a trip on a boat this weekend. A little thing called “Rock at sea”. Now I know that this does not sound as if I should be overworked in any way, but if you add large amounts of alcohole and lots of energy-filled music and say about 2000 persons. THEN things really start to get kind of hard.. We had an A2-cabin, wich is one og the nicer ones on the boat.

I am going to try!!

Oh, I already did…

To tattoo.. For real!

I have been talking about trying to make real tattoos for at least 15 years now, and I finally got to it.. Have a friend that have a studio and lots of machines close by, so I thought “What the hell, I´m unemployed and have some spare time..”

Got into it a bit, and man.. This was fun!!

Here is my absolute first attempt on real skin..

Out of work..

This is a strange feeling..

I am out of work now, and have been since 21:st of september 2009. So far, it actually feels good, I mean, I can do homework.. Ironing, coocking, washing up and so on. Just wondering what it will feel like if I don´t get a new job in the closest future, say in about a month or two.

A bit afraid that the boredom will creep up on me, even though I have lots to do as I see things today.

Oh, well..

I better have to find out wether I can tattoo or not. Something that I have been wondering for ages. Now, I have the time to find out..

The gold of the woods, or “forestmould”.

First of all.. I am sorry.. I am sorry for not being very active on this blog recently.. Now, whith that overwith, I´d like to introduce my post..

I have been into the woods with Alice today, picking blueberrys ( Vaccinium sp. ) and Chanterelles ( Cantharellus cibarius ). We had a really good time for ourselves with the trees, animals and a sandwich-break. Alice found a little frog, wilst picking berrys.

Somewhat scientific tattoos..

I really liked some of the tattoos, and I am actually thinking of having a somewhat scientific one myself.

The one below, would be quite right for me, I think. It´s showing the structure of a Humulone molecule. Humulone is one of the bitters in the hop, an ingridience in beer.
